About Our Grand Chapter

Learn about our heritage, mission, and the values that guide our sorority.

Our History & Tradition

The Queen Adah Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star was established to unite women of faith, virtue, and service under one banner of sisterhood. Taking its name from Queen Adah, the first heroine of the Eastern Star, our Chapter draws inspiration from her courage, loyalty, and self-sacrifice.

From our earliest days, we have upheld the principles of Charity, Truth, Love, Faith, and Hope, guiding women to grow as leaders, mentors, and pillars of their communities. Today we continue to honor our founders’ vision while embracing new opportunities to serve, educate, and uplift across California.
